Mural for Traffic Control Box - Milk District
The Milk District in Orlando, FL is an up and coming area that has a thriving arts community. They held a competition to commission murals within the district that captured the spirit and energy of the community. I was selected to paint a traffic control box at the edge of Festival Park at the entry of the district. I worked with the commission to create a whimsical scene of cows in a colorful field taking flight and playing with the birds. This is a joyous piece that exhibits some of the hallmarks of my work. Playing with perspective, and driving a curious narrative that allows the viewer to become part of the piece through storytelling.Test Proof (2022) 24 x 36 Acrylic on Paper

Hunting Art Prize
This work is an example of my experimentation with perspective. I met this gentleman hanging around at a bodega with his large pet snake. He did not want his portrait to feature the giant menacing snake, but rather his many custom rings were the thing that was most important to him.
This work was made for the Hunting Art Prize competition in 2016 that I was finalist in. This got me on a list of Texas 100 rising artist. This was the first in a series on the border and power dynamics.
